Plastic-free and plant-based, Sun Juju is a new sunscreen brand born in Byron Bay. Their debut product is a hydrating SPF50 for face and body. Formulated with Kakadu Plum (the world’s most abundant source of vitamin C), it nurtures the skin while simultaneously protecting it from the sun’s harmful rays. The non-greasy texture has been designed to sit well under makeup and be suitable for all skin types, including sensitive and acne-prone skin. It’s also reef safe – meaning it’s free from chemical sunscreen filters that can cause coral bleaching – and packaged in an environmentally-friendly aluminium tin. Founded by sustainability writer Ella Liascos, Sun Juju donates 5% of profits to the Climate Foundation’s marine permaculture project to plant kelp, which helps to absorb carbon from the atmosphere. Merging skincare with sun protection, Sun Juju’s reef safe SPF shields UVA and UVB rays while leaving the skin dewy and glowing.
