Cloth & Co was founded by mother-and-daughter duo Caroline and Daisy Poiner. After travelling through India in 2007 and working with local women through a social initiative, they spent the next seven years forging relationships with women’s cooperatives throughout India. Amazed at the positive change they witnessed after seeing these individuals become empowered through training and employment opportunities, Caroline and Daisy decided to launch a fashion brand grounded in the idea of empowering Indian women via fair working conditions while also recognising their artisanal skills. As such, all of Cloth & Co’s garments are ethically produced and they have transparency over their supply chain. The pieces are either hand spun, hand loomed and hand dyed, or produced by a small-scale stitching unit in Delhi. With quality in mind, Cloth & Co only use natural fibres across the range, such as linen, silk and GOTS certified organic cotton, as well as OEKO Tex dyes. The label is on a pathway to achieving net zero emissions, net zero water output and zero waste. Designed to have a positive impact on people and the planet, Cloth & Co’s everyday wardrobe staples are crafted in 100% natural materials that are made to last.
